Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix was an athletically inclined child and developed a passion to sprint at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first attempt she made, she was ranked second for 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. She became the youngest world winner in the 200m in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes in her respective events.
