Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was born at Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed a flair for athletics early on discovering her athletic abilities when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first race, Felix placed second in the 200 meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003 signed a sports contract with Adidas. She then was accepted into an institution called the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. She was the youngest world champion in the 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked among the top three athletes in each of her events.
